Research Interships

At EARTH you can be part of a research team led by faculty members who are committed to finding more effective ways of promoting sustainable development in the tropics.

 

Possible projects include:

 

- Food processing ( Yanine Chan),
- Tropical crops ( Jorge Arce)
- Business preparation ( Héctor Medrano)
- Community and regional development ( Julieta Mazzola y Edwin AcBol)
- Post-harvest management ( Carlos Demerutis)
- Agricultural engineering ( Omar Ulloa)

 

Our office will help you contact these professors and plan an internship according to your professional goals and interests.

 

The duration of the internship will depend on the objectives of the research project. Our main concern is that you fulfill your project goals and expectations therefore we provide continuous advice and guidance.

 

It is possible to obtain credit for this type of project depending on the specific requirements at your university. Participation in this project will affect the cost of the program.

 

The cost for each intern or project is $850 USD which covers:

  • Room and board (not including bedding)

  • Academic and administrative support

  • Follow-up and evaluation

 

Students at EARTH University also have access to many campus services such as the library, bank, gift shop, convenience store, 24 hour security, extensive parks, wireless internet service, etc.

 

This monthly fee does not include the $50.00 USD registration fee, airline tickets, ground transportation from airport – EARTH – airport, personal expenses, international medical insurance, or Spanish tutoring.
