Why EARTH?

Because EARTH is a place where you can really practice what you are studying. At EARTH you will not only learn new concepts about sustainability and resource management of the tropics but also apply this knowledge in the field every day.

At EARTH you can work and learn about natural resource and waste management. You can work and learn about forest management and alternative ways of reducing global warming with forest plantations, carbon fixation programs and alternative energy sources. And you can work and learn about sustainability in different productive systems such as banana, papaya, organic agriculture, livestock farming, and other alternative means of production.

At EARTH you will be part of an institution dedicated to offering youth from rural communities a world class education which is based on four pillars:

At EARTH, you will be part of an environment known for its natural and cultural diversity. The campus is in the middle of the tropical forest, surrounded by crystal clear waters and an incredible variety of wild life species. While walking around campus, you will be surprised to see a toucan flying by and landing on a nearby branch or waking up to the sound of birds or howler monkeys. EARTH is also a world in itself. Upon arrival you will be surrounded by students from all over the world living together and learning to make friends in spite of being from different countries and different social classes. Every day you will feel as one more person in the global village where societal rules help you learn about the value of living together in harmony.
